| The Salsa experience in Cuba
is still alive and well. In the recent past, Americans could go to
Cuba legally on a cultural license and spend the majority of their
time experiencing everything salsa. Now,
with the new OFAC (Washington) guidelines, it is only during free
time that travelers can experience salsa. Our travelers are on a
humanitarian mission with a full time program,
experiencing their spiritual and religious traditions.
Our Cuban program offers a choice of some
twenty-five opportunities to visit church- or synagogue-sponsored
community outreach programs.
The core of Cuba’s spiritual traditions is
reflected in the centuries-old practices in many faiths—Catholic,
Protestant, Jewish, as well as the unique Afro-Cuban influence.
These faith traditions are interwoven into every aspect of Cuban
life.
Our programs and itinerary provide a dynamically
diverse experience and are based on the religious, spiritual and other interests of the travelers.
There will also be time for you to explore Havana
on your own, when you can experience more of the culture through
music, dance.
We emphasize legal, Washington approved,

| Poverty and government restrictions
remain facts of life. It is important to remember that, as in early
travel to other communist countries, poor and slow service, minor
glitches and last minute changes or cancellations are common.
A great care has been taken to insure that your
accommodations, meals, and amenities are the best available,
circumstances beyond our control may alter our choices.
Payment: Three months prior to departure, $ 500
deposit is due. Two months prior to departure payment in full is due.
Refund Guide Lines:
- Cancellations made with more than 14 days until
departure will be charged $ 500.
- Cancellations made 4 - 13 days until departure will
be charged 50%.
- No cancellations will be accepted with 3 or less
days remaining until departure. These cancellations will forfeit the
entire cost of the trip.
- All cancellations must be in writing by fax
transmittal to our office: 1-310-204-0880
Special Note: The Cuban Ministry of
Transportation guidelines necessitate that American travelers pay
significantly higher prices than those from other countries. An American
traveler will typically find that the (always changing) prices quoted at
reservation desks are one-forth to one-third LESS than you paid through
your ground package. We have no control over this situation and pay the
public price for all accommodations. |
| Cuba's Religions is a
non-profit organization based in Los Angeles. As a non-denominational,
multi-religious organization, we explore the many religious faiths that
exist in Cuba today: including Catholicism, the Protestant churches
affiliated with the Cuba Council of Churches, the five Jewish synagogues
in Havana and the Afro-Cuban religion.
Since the Pope's visit in 1998, Cubans
are able to practice religion more freely. Cuba's Religions seeks the
universal truths that exist in each of these religions. We believe that
this type of dialogue and interaction will lead to a greater
understanding of the peoples of Cuba and the U.S. |
