CASA DE LA MUSICA (la nueva)
Galiano, entre Neptuno y Concordia, Centro Habana. La nueva Casa de la Música
en el Centro de la Habana es fantástica! Tiene 2 bares, un segundo nivel,
una pista más amplia y más espacio en general. Fue un cine pero este lugar
es más bonito que el antiguo. También tienen matineés ... 80 pesos cubanos
para los cubanos, US$5 para los extranjeros.
Abierto 7 días de la semana con matinées
y shows tarde todos los días, aunque eso puede cambiar. De repente hay un
matinee tarde los lunes, como en el otro local en Miramar, pero mayormente
es un matinée y un show tarde. Las bandas empiezan a las 17:30 ó 18:00 hrs.
para los matinées; el conjunto principal empieza a la medianoche días de la
semana y a las 0:30 a.m. ó 1:00 a.m. los fines de semana, incluyendo los domingos.
A veces hay un show en vez de un conjunto. Todos los matinées cuestan US$5
pero los shows nocturnos varían entre US$10 a US$20.

an upper level, bigger dance floor. Just roomier. Was a movie theatre, but
this is much nicer than the old one. They also have matinees ... US$2 for
the Cuban nationals, US$5 for foreigners.
Open 7 days a week, with matinees and late
shows everyday; though this does change sometimes. Occasionally they do a
late matinee on Monday like Miramar, but mostly it is a matinee and a late
show. Bands go on 5:30 - 6 p.m. for the matinees; main bands start midnight
weekdays, and 12:30-1 on weekends (including Sundays) depending on whether
there is a second band. Sometimes they have a floorshow instead. All the matinees
are $5 (at the moment); but the night shows vary - $10 early in the week;
or for the lesser names; $15-$20 later on.
